Antique 2 socket brass cluster with pull chains.
Overall the lamp is 63 1/2" to the top of the brass finial. The base is 9" diameter.
Solid wood column.
All joints are snug.
Benjamin dual cluster pull chain sockets. Stamped: "BENJAMIN 250w-250v". Ceramic interiors.  


About the Company

Benjamin Electric Manufacturing Company was a Chicago, IL electrical company founded in the late 1800s. The company was founded by Reuben B. Benjamin, and filed its first patent for an electric lamp socket in 1898. The company went on to manufacture various other electrical products. One of Benjamin's most notable products was their series of non-contact fire alarm horns, introduced in the early 1920s. They were available in flush-mount, single, and double projector versions, in either red or gray. These horns were mainly used by IBM, and later SimplexGrinnell up until the 1960s. In 1958, Benjamin was bought out by Thomas Industries, Inc.

One of a kind Industrial Age Steampunk Table Lamp. The frame of this lamp is made from 3/4" and 1/2" balck pipe and galvanized pipe. The lamp features brass fittings, custom bent piping, 2 different style lights and 2 different gauges. The first light is a round Edison bulb covered by a vintage facctory light protection cage, the second light has a longer style Edison bulb covered by a vintage factory enamel light hood. The first of the 2 gauges is a newer temperature gauge made by. the second gauge is a. The whole light has been painted an aged cooper color. The Edison bumbs that come with the lamp are 40 watts each but they can be changed to anything up to 100 watts. This light made from new and old pipe and other parts. All electrical parts are new. This is a truely one of a kind light. .
